ANNOUNCER

UNKNOWN ANNOUNCER - "NIGHTFALL"

Nightfall was a Canadian radio anthology series produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), with one episode produced in the USA.

During its three season run, it would have two different hosts. The first being Henry Ramer as the horror host Luther Kranst, who would host season 1 & 2, with season 3 hosted by Bill Reiter as the horror host Frederick Hende.
And later an Announcer.

Nightfall was a mix of horror and supernatural. It was so scary that there were many complaints about the content.

Each episode ran for about 30 minute, with some 100 hosted episodes being produced and at least 6 non hosted episodes being aired. On episode was produced in New York (USA).
After the conclusion of the hosted series in 1983, Nightfall aired two BBC produced shows, (Fall of the Moondust & The Chrysalids) both in three episode parts. These episodes had an announcer to introduce the stories.
I have not been able to locate an further information on the announcer.

The series was created by Bill Howell, who also produced and directed the series.
When production moved from Toronto to Vancouver for the third season, Don Kowalchuk would replace Howell.

The below episodes are from when Nightfall aired the two BBC produced shows, (Fall of the Moondust & The Chrysalids) and are able to be listened to online.
