"The Clock" was a radio horror / supernatural anthology series that was aired in 1955-1956 and was a spin off from the USA version that ran between 1946 - 1948. A USA television version also ran from 1949 to 1952.
It is thought that the show may have originated in the United Kingdom. The show made 52 episodes. They used the same scripts as the USA version, but hired Australian cast and crew, except for host of the series "The Clock". For this cast member, they hired Harp McGuire.
Harp McGuire (Henry Herbert McGuire) was born on 1 November 1921, in Tennessee, USA and passed away on 21 October 1966, Los Angeles, California USA from a heart attack. He is probably best remembered for his work in Australian radio. Harp's roles include the Clock, Mr. Malone, and Randy Stone (of Night Beat fame). He was in Australia between 1946-1958. After leaving Australia, he moved to Hollywood and acted in movies and television show guest spots.
