JOSE MOJICA MARINS - "ZE DO CAIXAO" (COFFIN JOE)

From Wikipedia:
Ze do Caixao (Coffin Joe), is a character created and nominally played by Brazilian writer, director, and actor Jose Mojica Marins. An amoral undertaker with Nietzschian beliefs, he is driven by his desire to have a son by "the perfect woman", believing that immortality is achieved through procreation, a concept he refers to as "the continuation of blood". He often resorts to murder, kidnapping, and rape to achieve his means, with his violent nature, atheism, and antagonism towards Christianity placing him into conflict with his largely Catholic neighbours. Despite his own disbelief in the supernatural, he often finds himself experiencing paranormal phenomena, including encounters with ghosts, Death, and visions of Hell.

Initially conceived of by Marins to serve as the antagonist in "At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul", Brazil's first horror film, Coffin Joe has gone on to appear in nine more films, three television series, songs, music videos, and comic books. The character has been called "Brazil's National Boogeyman", and is considered a horror icon and a cultural icon of Brazil, with his popularity resulting in descriptions of him as being the Brazilian equivalent of the United States' Freddy Krueger.

"Alem, Muito Alem do Alem" (Beyond, Much Beyond the Beyond) ran between 1967-1988 with Jose Mojica Marins as "Ze do Caixao" (Coffin Joe). The showed aired on Fridays on TV Bandeirantes Channel 13, with Marins embodying the Coffin Joe character presenting short horror tales written by author and screenwriter Rubens Lucchetti. Some scripts were later adapted as Coffin Joe comic books. The show's tapes were reused and currently there are no intact recordings of this program.

"Trilogia de Terror" (Trilogy of Terror) is a 1968 Brazilian horror film by Jose Mojica Marins. The movie consists of three stories adapted from the Brazilian television series "Alem, Muito Alem do Alem":
"O Acordo" (The Agreement)
"A Procissao dos Mortos" (Procession of Dead)
"Pesadelo Macabro" (Macabre Nightmare).

"Um Show do Outro Mundo" (The Show from the Other World) was a hosted horror movie show with Jose Mojica Marins as "Ze do Caixao" (Coffin Joe), with Marins also directing. The show aired on Rede Record de Televisao, Channel 7, Saturdays from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am. The program featured several horror short-films, with many of the stories sent in by the viewers and adapted by members of Marins' production team. The original tapes were reused and there is no record of this material. The dates that the show aired are unknown.

"Cine Trash" was a hosted horror movie show with Jose Mojica Marins as "Ze do Caixao" (Coffin Joe). The show first aired on 5 February 1996, with foreign horror films presented. Accompanied by his Pombas Giras (Sweet Doves), Coffin Joe makes a brief introduction of the film to be shown, teaches a lesson of morality to the adolescent public (the "Recommendation of the Hour"), culminating with the Plague of the Day, which challenged the viewer to dare change the channel or turn off the television set. After eight months being shown in the afternoons, the program moved to night, but in the new version Mojica continued as host for only some weeks.
