JOE TORBAY - "THE GRAMMAR SLAMMER BAMMER", "GRONK"
& "HARVEY C. WALLBANGER"

Joseph Alexander Torbay was born in Canada on 13 August 1941 and died at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, Ontario, Canada on 10 October 2009.

He was married to Edith Flippance for 43 years, having two sons Christopher and Michael.

Torbay was a well known Canadian television and puppeteer personality.

He is probably best remembered as the voices and puppeteers of The Grammar Slammer Bammer, Harvey C. Wallbanger and Gronk in the television series The Hilarious House of Frightenstein. The Grammar Slammer Bammer is the muscle that holds Igor in place, while the invisible The Grammar Slammer corrects Igor's grammar. Gronk is a sea serpent of great length, but only two (2) foot of his neck and head are visible. He loves to make a joke. Harvey C. Wallbanger is in charge of the "Dead Letter Office".

Fortunately, most of the series is available on YouTube and Tubi-TV
