PAGE FLETCHER - "THE HITCHHIKER"

From IMDB:
"The Hitchhiker", a Canadian/French production, was an anthology series of mystery-thriller stories, linked only by the character of The Hitchhiker, who introduces and also closes each episode. Occasionally the stories involved supernatural forces, but most plot twists stemmed only from the dark side of the human spirit. The show ran from 1983 until 1991, with Page Fletcher as The Hitchhiker.

From IMBD:
Page Fletcher was born Charles Page Fletcher on 25 February 1951 in Bass River, Nova Scotia, Canada. The son of Ron and Peggy Fletcher, Page grew up in Bass River, Nova Scotia and made his film debut as Tom Rice in the low-budget horror picture "Humongous." He achieved his greatest enduring popularity as the titular mysterious drifter on the long-running cable television anthology series "The Hitchhiker". Fletcher also played Alex J. Murphy/RoboCop on the mini-series "RoboCop: Prime Directives". In addition, Fletcher made guest appearances on a handful of television shows that include "The Beachcombers", "Street Legal", "Night Heat", "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", "The Outer Limits", and "Forever Knight".
