"The Screaming Room" (aka "Scream") is a Canadian magazine-style program goes behind-the-scenes to provide viewers with interviews, profiles and information on notable suspense/ horror filmmakers, writers and actors; as well as presenting hosted horror, slasher supernatural and occult movies. Hosted by Jane Meikle as "Mistress Olga" who was a goth/vampire/dominatrix who hosted monster movies, "Tiff", a Dumb Blonde cheerleader who hosted slasher movies and "Nancy" who was a British schoolgirl who hosted supernatural and occult movies, "Martina Gail" and from 2003, Meikle introduced her latest character - "Sharon Stokowski" - a news anchor. The show ran from 8 September 2001 until 2008. From Jane Meikle's web page: Jane Meikle is an award-winning screenwriter developing narrative feature and television projects in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Her thriller "Deadline Belgrade", co-written with Victoria Aitken, is in pre-production with Grant Hill's Elizabeth Bay Productions, to be produced by Dennis Davidson in mid 2021. Her scripts have won fellowships in the Praxis and eQuinoxe Screenwriters' Labs in Vancouver, Canada and Mannheim, Germany. Based in the United Arab Emirates since 2006, Jane has worked locally with Comedy Central Studios Arabia, Filmworks Dubai and Imagenation Abu Dhabi. She also worked in communications for several years, most notably with the Dubai International Film Festival, which exposed her to a wide range of talents and influences from the Arab World and beyond. Jane began her career as the face of Canada wide horror channel "Scream TV", writing and performing popular character segments. She training as a director at Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Centre.
