From 13 August 1995, the radio show "La Mano Peluda" (The Hairy Hand) began in Mexico City. At the beginning of the show, the host would suggest a horror, paranormal, or supernatural topic, and listeners would call and share their stories aided by music effects and scary narration.
The show could be heard from 10:00pm until midnight every weeknight and was a favourite among overnight taxi drivers and late-shift workers.
The show ceased on 15 January 2018.
The show's hosts were:

Juan Ramon Saenz 1999-2010
Ruben Garcia Castillo 2010-2018
Castillo passed away on 31 May 2021.
Saenz was born on 19 October 1962 and passed away on 29 May 2011.
