13 NIGHTS OF FRIGHT WITH NEIL GAIMAN |
"13 Nights of Fright with Neil Gaiman" was a series in 2004, where each night, Gaiman (assisted by Malena Teves) presented
a different horror movie classic. In addition the viewers who watch each night would discover a secret clue that will unlock a hidden page on the website giving them access to 13 exclusive interviews.
Neil Gaiman
As a child and a teenager, Gaiman read the works of C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Lewis Carroll, Mary Shelley, Rudyard Kipling, Edgar Allan Poe, and Alan Moore.
Gaiman also wrote episodes of the BBC science fiction series "Doctor Who", during Matt Smith's as the Doctor.
Malena Teves
At 15, she won a five-state opera competition for her a Capella version of "Adele's Laughing Song" from Johann Strauss' operetta, "Die Fledermaus". She has also recorded songs by such famous authors as Gregory Maguire (Wicked), Neil Gaiman (Coraline), Daniel Handler (aka Lemony Snicket) (Series of Unfortunate Events) and many others. Malena is often asked to sing the USA's National Anthem at nationally publicized sporting events, which always brings a true American spirit to the fans on all sides. She has recorded her third album. From this release, she has chosen her favorite jazz standards, such as "Cry Me a River", "Fever", "Yesterday", "Lullaby of Birdland" and "Mambo Italiano!".
