"Arch and His Friend Nid" was a hosted horror movie show with Wayne Thomas as "Arach" who presented movies on KHJ-TV Channel 9, Los Angeles, California during 1973. Wayne Thomas as "Arach", was dressed as a giant spider, and had an off-camera friend named NID (a fly). The show is reported only to have lasted for two episodes due the station removing the show's poor jokes about the station owners smoking dope.

Wayne Thomas was born on 13 August 1931 in Oakland, California, USA as Michael Wayne Thomas. He was an actor and producer, also known for "Fright Night" (1970), "Strange Tales of Science Fiction" (1961), "Zebra in the Kitchen" (1965) and "Cartoon Express" (1954). He died on 27 January 2009 in Alhambra, California (USA).

He was the long time studio announcer for Los Angeles television station KHJ-TV channel 9. Amoung the other programs, "Fright Night", Thomas would hyperbolically introduce "the Master of the Macabre, the Epitome of Evil, The Most Sinister Man to Crawl the face of the Earth, Seymour" or "Seeeeeeeeeeeee-moorrrre!".
