"Ned The Dead" - biography (taken from Bradley Beard's Facebook page)
Just don't call him "Neddy". Tonight I present Ned the Dead, host of Chiller Theater on WLUC-TV Channel 11 in Green Bay, WI, which premiered on February 4,1984. After losing his timeslot on WLUC to infomercials in 1999, the show got picked up by WACY-TV Channel 32 and changed its name to Ned the Dead's Demented Drive-In. In 2002, the show moved to N.E.W. TV on Time Warner cable where is aired once again as Chiller Theater and aired until September 2005. In October 2005, the show moved back to WACY, continuing as Chiller Theater, where it aired until 2010. It's Steve Brenzel who brings Ned the Dead to life. Brenzel began as a news photographer for WLUC; his energetic personality made Brenzel the obvious choice for the horror host role. Ned's approach to hosting is extremely entertaining, both humorous and high octane. It's no wonder that he's Green Bay's longest running horror host.
In 2016, Steve Brenzel - "Ned The Dead", of "Chiller Theater",
was inducted into "The Official Horror Host Hall of Fame".
