"Count Von Vein" was a fictional horror host, played by the the fictional character of "Alexander Vronski" in the 1988 30 minute short film "The Double Cross". The short film aired as the main feature of "Monsterpiece Theatre" hosted by Karen Scioli as "Stella" on 31 October 1988 - KYW-TV, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
The summary of the show was Diane and Rick are television script writers who must write a Halloween script featuring an old horror host Alexander Vronski (Count Von Vein) who is staging a come-back. The pair are reluctant, but take up the challenge. What could go possibly wrong when you through a vampire into the mix.
The credit for "Count Von Vein" is not known.

So they wrote The Double Cross, a Vampire story that took place at a TV station. It aired on a Friday night. Jane Norman (Philly's "Pixanne") played a TV executive". |
