CREATURE FEATURE
CREMATIA'S FRIDAY NIGHTMARE

ROBERTA SOLOMON - "CREMATIA MORTEM"

"Creature Feature" was a host horror movie show with

Roberta Solomon as "Crematia Mortem" - "The Ghostess with the Mostest" screened on KSHB-TV, Channel 41 Kansas City, Missouri, USA. The show ran from 1982 until 1990. In 1986, the show changed name to "Crematia's Friday Nightmare".

From Roberta Solomon's web page:

Roberta is one of the most prolific voiceover artists working today.

She's voiced promos for ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Late Show with James Cordon on CBS, NBC Sports, Comedy Central, Animal Planet and PBS. She narrates Emmy-winning documentaries for Smithsonian Channel and NatGeo. Roberta is the branding voice for scores of TV and radio stations across the U.S. In 2020, she kicked off her 16th season co-voicing the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network for the reigning Super Bowl champs.

Early in her career, Roberta did morning radio and was a cast member of Right Between the Ears, a sketch comedy show carried on Sirius/XM. She was also (yes, really) a longtime TV horror host. Her alter ego Crematia Mortem was inducted in 2012 into Horror Hound Magazine's TV Horror Host Hall of Fame along with Elvira, Dr. Paul Bearer, and Universal Studios' "Shock" Movie Package.

Roberta works from a state-of-the-art home recording studio, delivering audio to clients in any format they prefer. She carries a portable studio with her when she travels, and has voiced projects from hotels, closets, and once from a car in a cemetery.

"Crematia Mortem" - biography (taken from Bradley Beard's Facebook page)"
"As you can no doubt see, I put on my skull cap which gives me extraordinary powers of divination… or deviation as the case may be." Today I present the ghostess with the mostess, Miss Crematia Mortem. She hosted Creature Feature/Crematia's Friday Nightmare on KSHB Channel 41 in Kansas City, Missouri which began in 1982 and ended on January 1, 1990.

Crematia was joined by her two man servants Dweeb and Rasputin who were heard but never seen. Crematia was inducted into the horror host hall of fame by Horror Hound Magazine and Ripley's Believe It or Not. She has since retired from horror hosting and with the help of her talented friend Roberta Solomon, she is trying to develop "skills" and acclimate to a "normal" life.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what the future holds for Crematia... and what tomorrow holds for you.

In 2012, Roberta Solomon - "Crematia Mortem" of "Creature Feature", was inducted into "The Official Horror Host Hall of Fame".
