TOM SAVINI - "THE CREEP"

The "Creepshow" franchise began in 1982 movie release of "Creepshow". The fanchise continued with the movie releases of "Creepshow 2" in 1987, "Creepshow 3" in 2006 (direct to video), "Creepshow" - a television series starting in 2019, and "Creepshow Animated Special" - a television special in 2020; witha further "Creepshow" movie in development.

CREEPSHOW (1982)
"Creepshow" was a 1982 horror comedy anthology movie. The prologue: A young boy named Billy Hopkins gets disciplined by his father for reading a horror comic titled "Creepshow". After taking the comic from Billy and throwing it in the garbage, the father reminds his spouse that he has to be hard on Billy as he does not want their son to read it, calling it "horror crap". As Billy sits upstairs, he hears a sound at the window. The noise turns out to be "The Creep", the host of the comic book, beckoning him to come closer.

"The Crate"
"They're Creeping Up on You"

CREEPSHOW 2 (1987)
Creepshow 2 only contains three stories instead of five. Originally, two additional stories, "Pinfall" and "Cat from Hell" were set to appear in the film, but were scrapped due to budgetary reasons; however, the latter has been filmed for "Tales from the Darkside: The Movie".

The prologue: A delivery truck pulls up to a newsstand in a small town, Dexter, Maine where a young boy named Billy arrives eagerly waiting for it. The truck's back shutter opens to reveal a sinister figure who drops off a
package onto the sidewalk - the latest issue of Creepshow, much to Billy's delight. As the film momentarily turns into an animation, the package opens of its own accord, (revealing the cover of the comic is the same as the cover in the final scene of the previous movie). As Billy begins to read, the delivery man reveals his true identity as
"The Creep".

CREEPSHOW 3 (2006)
Wraparound story" Unlike the first two Creepshow installments, in which the wraparound element linking the stories was a horror comic, "Creepshow 3" takes a different tact - in which characters from each story interact with each other during the film. There is also a hot dog stand as a common element in the movie. Brochures, ads and other things from the hot dog stand are peppered throughout.

"Creepshow" - biography (taken from Bradley Beard's Facebook page)"
I'll bet you never knew that its nickname "Fluffy". Today I present the creature in the crate from the 1982 Warner Brothers classic Creepshow; a black humor horror anthology consisting of 5 short stories written by Stephen King< (who stars in an episode as well) and directed by George A. Romero. Each story is conceptually tied together by comic book panels, an obvious reference to the influence of 1950's EC horror comics such as Tales from the Crypt, Vault of Horror, and Haunt of Fear. It stars a plethora of actors including Leslie Nielsen, Ted Danson, Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Ed Harris, E.G. Marshall, and numerous others. The incredible special effects were brought to death by the Wizard of Gore and More Tom Savini. Favorite scene: When the cockroaches burst forth from Upson Pratt’s body. You do know what day tomorrow is, don't you?
