RICHARD SCRIVANI - "DWIGHT"

"Dear Ygor" is a 1992 direct-to-video hosted horror show with Michael R. Thomas as "Ygor Koval" and Richard Scrivani as "Dwight", who answer viewer letters with lively demonstrations, as well as showing a few clips from horror movies.

The other cast members are:
Bari Gilbert as "Betty Bathory"
Andrea Lawn as "Hyde"
Jack Engel as "Jake" (voice)
Doug Scrivani as "Bob Frapples"

From Dear Ygor's VHS cover:
Broken necked blacksmith, Ygor Koval (Michael R. Thomas) simply wants to host his cable T.V. show, "Dear Ygor", in the little mountain village of Frankenstein... undisturbed.

After searching around in the old deserted laboratory of Baron Heinrich Frankenstein, Ygor discovers the scientist third creation (after the Original Monster and The Bride), unalive and preserved in a closet. Armed with Frankenstein's stolen ... er, borrowed records, Ygor brings the creature to life - a childlike neat-freak whom he names Dwight (Richard Scrivani).

Answering letters from their viewers - who ask about Horror, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy - Ygor and Dwight illustrate their answers and investigate the following (amongst Other Things):

- The Heretifore unknown consequences of a Tana Leaf Juice overdose taken by Kharis, the 3,000-year-old mummy.

- Four ways to destroy a Vampire (with a "live" demonstration.)

- A guided tour of the Hackensack, NJ Cememtery (originally seen on "The Biff Morgan Show") for food lover, only!

- An experiment with Dr. Jekyil's secret potion (with rather unexpected results.)

- A little "DYI" surgery following a slight accident while Ygor prepares a meal.

MICHAEL R. THOMAS
From IMDB:
Michael R. Thomas, (27 August 1949 - 24 August 2009) born in Rahway, New Jersey, was raised in the Bronx and then in Hazlet, New Jersey, where he taught himself how to apply makeup for school plays. At around 18 years of age, he began working as a go-fer at New York film studios and as a Metropolitan Opera makeup apprentice. He made his on-camera TV debut on "Disc-O-Teen," a live dance show of the mid-1960s; Thomas became a dancing regular, dressed as Frankenstein's monster. In the 1970s he got a makeup job on TV's Saturday Night Live (1975) where, among countless other gigs during his 20 seasons there, he collaborated on creating the look of the Coneheads. Film-wise he was makeup department head on the Ghostbusters movies and applied Michael Jackson's scarecrow makeup for The Wiz (1978). His wife was makeup artist Christine Domaniecki, whom he met on the set of "Disc-O-Teen," lost touch with, then re-encountered and fell in love with, 23 years later. Thomas' love of the Universal horror movies of the 1930s and '40s prompted him to make himself up to look like Bela Lugosi's Dracula and Ygor and appear at horror movie-themed fan conventions throughout the country.
