He takes great pleasure in bringing you the obscure and the obtuse, the mysterious and mystifying, and the wonderful and weird. Tonight I present Armistead Spottswoode, host and of Midnight Frights which can be seen on the new OSI 74 Roku Channel and on the OSI 74 website. Armistead brings you forgotten "classic" films, all of which he directed under his various pseudonyms. His show is shot on location in the historic Byrd Theatre, located close to the Hollywood Cemetery; a venue in which he not only lives but he also claims to have built “during the war of Northern aggression” (and remember, movies hadn't been invented yet so it was up to this man of many talents to invent movie cameras and movies). He is joined by his Midnighters, the floating skulls Marco and Polly, Bizarmistead, Edgar Allen Poe, and a cadre of strange characters as well as occasional appearances by other horror hosts. Join Armistead in his new home on the OSI 74 Channel; he may choose to recite you a little POE-try, sing you a German folk song in Italian, or spin you one of his famed tall tales.
