"Movie Madness" was a hosted horror movie show with Keenan Powell as "Dr. Mel Praxis" presenting movies on OPA Time-Warner Channel 72 from 2009 - 2013. For the first ten shows, the host "Dr Praxis" was animated. From show eleven "Dr. Mel Praxis" was played by Keenan Powell, in the flesh. The name Mel Praxis is a play on words - Doctor Malpractice. Tonight I present Dr. Mel Praxis, host of Movie Madness on OPA Time-Warner Channel 72 in Owensboro, KY. Dr. Praxis likes to think of himself as a simple traveler passing through our country using a binary random codex. He comes from the land of Dannanna, "where the nights are long and filled with bat guano". Dr. Praxis has attended some of America's most prestigious institutions of higher learning, having attained a degree in Marxology as well as a second degree in Parasitical Abnormal Psychobabble. After being booted out of the University of Bothersome Theories, he decided to host a TV program that would allow him to pursue his passion for music and horror movies. If you're someone who feels secure in your sanity, you might find yourself joining his Asylum; he refers to it his "fan club"... but his "fans" know better.
