MYSTERY MANSION
SHOCK!

JOHN MILTON WHITAKER - "RODERICK"
PHYLLIS RANSON (CHILDS) - "VAMPIRA"
JERRY ? - "IGOR"
OLLIE HUNTER - "HULK"

"Shock!" was a hosted horror movie show with John Milton Whitaker as "Roderick", presenting movies on KUTV Channel 2, Salt Lake City, Utah; screening at 10:30pm or midnight; from 1958-1959. "Roderick" was assisted by Phyllis Ranson as "Vampira"; with Jerry (last name unknown) as "Igor" and Ollie Hunter as a big hulk who walked around the set.

From E-gors Chamber of TV Horror Hosts:
Phyllis Child used her married name Phyllis Ransom in the show. Phyllis used her long and white wedding dress as her costume for Vampira. The other "supporting actors" were station prop boys.

Whitaker & Ransom achieved a minor fame around town. Halloween night 1959, "Roderick" pushed the coffin containing "Vampira" for a block. The coffin was pushed from Social Hall Avenue and into the lobby of the Lyric Theatre, where Vampira ascended from the coffin where they made a "personal appearance" prior to the movie.

In 1964 Whitaker & Ransom starred in a new horror hosted show "Mystery Manion". The show ran on KSL-TV, Channel 5, Salt Lake City, Utah during 1964.

There are no known clips from the show:
