Portrait of "Ghoulardi" by Bradley Beard. "Ghoulardi" - biography (taken from Bradley Beard's Facebook page)" This horror host was the brain child of Ernie Anderson and Tim Conway. Today I honor a true legend; I give you the beatnik hipster known as Ghoulardi. He hosted Shock Theatre at WJW-TV in Cleveland, Ohio which ran for just three short years, from January 13, 1963 to December 16, 1966. The show was so popular that a wave of Ghoulardi-mania swept through Cleveland. At its peak, the show captured 70% of the late night audience. Ghoulardi's on-stage and off-stage antics were legendary; he was known for detonating objects with explosives sent in by fans on the air. The Ghoulardi All-stars baseball team hosted as many as 100 charity contests per year which attracted thousands of fans and generated an estimated $250,000. In the words of the great Ghouldari, "This movie is so bad you should just go to bed."A suggestion I think I'll take. Goodnight.
In 2005, Timm McCoy ventured to retunr "Ghoulardi". For more information use the below link:
