SHOCK THEATRE |
"Shock Theatre" was a hosted horror movie show with Tom "Doc" Dougall as "Mr. X" presenting movies on WXYZ Channel 7, Detroit, Michigan, on Fridays at 11:30pm from 7 February 1958, probably ending the same year, with the first movie screened being the 1931 "Dracula".
Dougall was a classically trained actor who taught English at the Detroit Institute of Technology. Dougall was grimly serious and set a solemn tone for what was to follow.
There are no known clips from the show. |
