"The Boris Karloff Mystery Playhouse" was a 30-minute US television mystery anthology series. Boris Karloff hosted twelve episodes that aired from September to December 1949. All but five titles appear to be lost. Directors included Alex Segal. Boris Karloff was born William Henry Pratt on 23 November 1887 and died on 2 February 1969. He was an established actor, starring in many movies, television shows, radio and records. He his best remembered by horror fans as "Frankenstein's Monster", "The Mummy" and "Fu Manchu". The last role for Karloff was the 1971 sicence fiction / horror movie "The Incredible Invasion" playing the part of Professor John Mayer.
