THE LATE GREAT HORROR SHOW |
"The Late Great Horror Show" was a hosted horror movie show with Jim Cooke screened on Saturdays at 11:30 pm, on WJET-TV, Channel 24 from 1980 to 1982. The character of Sir Robert Ghoul-Ley (actor unknown) filled in when Jim Cooke was not available. The Ghoul-Ley character was a more traditional scary host. The show was replaced in 1982 by syndicated episodes of Elvira's Movie Macabre.
The theme music was "Night on Disco Mountain" from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. The closing music was a really screwed up version of "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" from a kiddy novelty album.
In 1984, Jim Cooke would return to host "The Just Right for Late Night Horror Show"; on Saturdays at 11:30 pm, on WJET-TV, Channel 24 and end in 1985.
