If you love a good mystery, then you'll love this host. Tonight I present The Mad Man, a Shock Theatre era host from Des Moines, IA. Originally hailing from my home state, I was obviously fascinated to learn more about this 1950's horror host. My exhaustive research turned up absolutely no information about him and left me with many unanswered questions. Who was he? What station was he on? What was the name of his show and how long did it last? What was his characters origin? The only shred of evidence that he even existed is one lone photograph presented in the You Axed For It! feature in Famous Monsters of Filmland Magazine #6 February 1960. Beyond that, no one seems to have any recollection of him. Did anyone out there reading this now watch his show or know someone who did? Who can answer these questions and solve the mystery of the Mad Man? Can you?

There are no known clips from the show.
