"The Shrimpenstein Show" was a hosted horror kids show on KHJ Channel 9, Los Angeles, California, USA and screened from 1967-1968; with Gene Moss as "Dr. Rudolph Von Schtick" and "Shrimpenstein" voiced by Jim Thurman; who also was the voice behind the other characters on the show

"Klouse"
"Wilfred"
"The Tijuana Bats".


The show was created by Michael Dormer and Lee Teacher, with "Shrimpenstein" designed by Chang Wah.

Jim Thurman was born on 13 March 1935 in Dallas, Texas, USA. He was an actor (live and voice) and writer, known for "Sesame Street" (1969-1997), "Square One Television" (1987), "The Electric Company" (1971) and "Mathnet" (1987).

He was married to Patricia Coriell. He died on 14 April 2007 in Sheffield, Massachusetts, USA.


"Shrimpenstein" also had his own fan club.
