TIME FOR TERROR
HOWARD GERNETTE - "ANNOUNCER"
| "Time for Terror" was a non-hosted horror movie show on WISN Channel 12, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA; with Howard Gernette providing the voice over announcing the title of the movie, with a blood curdling scream following his announcement. The show ran from 15 September 1972 until 30 March 1973.
The show aired on Friday nights/Saturday mornings at approximately 12:35am. The show's opening graphic showed drops of blood appearing against ablack background until they spelled the title of the show. During the commercial breaks title cards sporting the show's title and that of the movie being shown were seen, done in yellow or orange art-nouveau letterings against ablack background.
Howard Gernette was born on 31 December 1930 in Wausau, Wisconsin, USA. He was married to Rosemary Gernette. He died on 6 February 1998 in Wausau, Wisconsin, USA.
He and Rosemary were the hosts of "Dialing for Dollars" from 1976 until 1980.
Rosemary Gernette was born on 25 April 1935 in Wausau, Wisconsin, USA. and died on 19 May 2016 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. There are no known clips from the show. |
