WILLIAM SHATNER'S FULL MOON FRIGHT NIGHT

WILLIAM SHATNER
CHRISTOPHER BERGSCHNEIDER - "ANTOINE"

"William Shatner's Full Moon Fright Night" was a horror movie show hosted by William Shatner. Shatner presents 13 not-quite-Oscar-caliber late-night horror movies, including wacky Q&A sessions with special guests, as well as extra-campy re-enactments of each movie's most-gruesome moment.

William Shatner is bigger than life itself.

He has appeared in many movies and television series; including many genre science fiction, horror and fantasy - both live and animated.

Shatner came to prominence after he starred as Captain James T. Kirk in Gene Roddenberry's 1966-1969 science fiction television series "Star Trek", where he was the captain of the USS Enterprise.

He would reprise this character in the:
1973-1974 "Star Trek: The Animated Series"
1979 "Star Trek: The Motion Picture"
1982 "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan"
1984 "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock"
1986 "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home"
1989 "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier"
1991 "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country"
along with guest appearance and voicing in video games as "Kirk"

From Squid Flicks article - "Full Moon Friday: "Full Moon Fright Night" Retrospective Antoine, the Bartender

Starring opposite of Mr. Shatner was a (for the most part) silent, bartending monster that was brought to life by Chris Bergschneider, Jeff Farley, and Bud McGrew (all which also handled the show's special effects). With three weeks to prep, and having to work four 12 hour days, the shoot to get all 13 episodes of the show done wasn't one for the light hearted.

We asked Mr. Jeff Farley what their jobs entailed, and he in which responded, "Chris and I were contacted by Charlie Band originally and we brought Bud onto the project to handle the bartender characters animatronics.

I designed and sculpted the bartender while Chris did the mold making, foam runs and painting/finishing. We also did all of the other props and makeup effects out of my studio. Bud had an existing animatronic head that was refurbished to work as the bartender and he puppeteered it on set while Chris portrayed the character which was named Antoine. With the both of them concentrating on that particular character, I handled all of the other makeup effects and puppeteering on set, played a few other characters and did all of the voices of the characters speaking to Shatner.

Russ Herpich came in to portray the Castle Freak in a mask that I sculpted and suit Chris and I put together."

"William Shatner" - biography (taken from Bradley Beard's Facebook page)
This skeleton goes into a bar and says "Give me a drink... and a mop." Tonight I present William Shatner, host of William Shatner's Full Moon Fright Night on The SCI FI Channel. Presented as a 13 week mini-series, Shatner hosted the B-horror films produced by Full Moon Pictures. It aired on Saturday nights; the first episode premiered on August 3, 2002 with the 13th episode being shown on Halloween night. The format featured corny jokes (Shatner started off Episode 3 with the above joke) and puns, crazy antics, and engaging interviews with Hollywood legends such as Roger Corman, Kevin Eastman, Stuart Gordon, Jeffrey Combs, and the amazing Stan Lee. The highlight of each episode came when Shatner at his campiest re-enacted the most gruesome scene from each movie. This series is the perfect example of the quintessential William Shatner.
