JACK MURDOCK - "KRONOS"

"Zone 2" was a hosted horror movie show with Jack Murdock as "Kronos", screened by KTVI Channel 2, St. Louis, Missouri, USA; from August 1965 till August 1966. Murdock played a pretty straight host, no makeup or affectations, except for an eye patch; who would read from classic horror novels like "Dracula" between showings of packaged horror films. The show was named "Zone 2" due to KTVI-TV broadcasting on Channel 2; and possibly as a on name "The Twilight Zone". It aired at 4:00pm-5:30pm. The movies shown were severely edited to fit into the time slot, and to make room for commercials, and to allow for Kronos to introduce each segment. Murdock was born on 28 October 1922 in Ohio, and passed away on 27 April 2001 in Burbank California. Murdock had been an actoir since the 1960's until about 1998. He mostly appeared in television series as a one off character; but had a 23 episode run in "Operation Petticoat" and an 8 run in "The Young and the Restless".
