"Monstrous Movie" was a non hosted horror movie show that ran from 6 September 1974 to 31 December 1983 on WFLD Channel 32, Chicago, USA. "Monstrous Movie" was a horror movie block, popular in the 1970s and 80s, featuring classic monster films like "The Amazing Colossal Man", "The House of Fear", and "Dracula's Daughter", complete with station bumpers and announcers introducing terrifying tales to local audiences. The first announcer for the show was Ron Beattie, up to 1980, then Jim Barton; who was also the announce on "Son of Svengoolie" and "Svengoolie". JIM BARTON Below clips from the series:
