"Nathan's Sheer Madness" was a fictitious hosted horror movie show. Blackie Dammett plays the fictitious horror host "Nathan". The movie show forms the basis of an episode on "It's Garry Shandling's Show." - "Nathan's Sheer Madness", season 4, episode 3 airing 24 November 1989. The plot for this episode is: Grant's friend tries to hurt his parents with a machete, copying a horror host - "Nathan" whose television show airs right after Garry's. When Garry tries to get the show "Nathan's Sheer Madness" canceled, the maniacal horror host threatens him and kidnaps Phoebe. BLACKIE DAMMETT From IMDB: Born on 7 December 1939 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA as John Michael Kiedis; he was married to Peggy (real name Margaret) and later divorced when their son Anthony was young. Blackie has two children - Anthony who was born in 1962, and James, who was born in 1991. He lived in Los Angeles for many years; and whilst living there, he changed his name from Blackie Dammett. He raised wolves and wolf hybrids in Michigan in the 1990s. In 2007, he moved to Portland, Oregon. He passed away on 12 May 2021 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.
