"Professor Griffin's Midnight Shadow Show" was a hosted horror movie show with Joseph Fotinos as "Professor Anton Griffin" presenting movies on Fridays at 11:00pm on Time Warner Cable Channel 16 Austin, Texas from October 2001 until 2006. The Professor is assisted by Kim Shafer as "Usher", Gilbert Austin as "Dan-Dan" and with Forrest J Ackerman as "Professor Bruno Lampini". "USHER", "DAN-DAN" & "PROFESSOR ANTON GRIFFIN" Also screened on Fridays at midnight on Austin Music Network, Time Warner Cable, Channel 15 San Marcos, Texas, from 5 March to 26 March 2004; moved to Sundays at 11:00pm from 4 April 2004 until 2006; on Fridays at midnight on Austin Music Network, Time Warner Cable, Channel 24 San Antonio, Texas from 5 March till 26 March 26, 2004; then moved to Sundays at 11:00pm from 4 April 2004 until 2006; Thursdays at midnight on Time Warner Cable, Channel 17 Houston, Texas from January 2003 until 2006. My project this month is so big and scary that I needed an advisor... a shadow advisor. And who better to advise me about the shadows than the Professor himself. Today I present Professor Anton Griffin host of Professor Griffin's Midnight Shadow Show in Austin, TX; the good Professor is accompanied by his assistants Dan-Dan and Usher. The Professor's show ran for 8 seasons throughout Central Texas. Griffin is an Official Universal Monster Ambassador, an honor bestowed upon him by Universal Studios. If you are lucky and live in Texas, every October the Professor will teach you things... dark, shadowy things in his class at the University of Texas. The Professor has an alias that he hides away with those shadowy things named Joseph Fotinos. Check out the horror host documentary American Scary and watch the Professor profess. Tomorrow's shadow grows long. In 2019, Joseph Fotinos - "Professor Griffin" for "Midnight Shadow Show", was inducted into "The Official Horror Host Hall of Fame".

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Take your seats, the show is about to begin." Today I present to you, Usher, co-host with Professor Anton Griffin on Professor Griffin's Midnight Shadow Show. Usher's job is much more than just placing unwary onlookers into their seats, she was placed in her position by Griffin's boss Professor Bruno Lampini; Griffin feels like sometimes she is watching him. She is the last living descendant of the Usher family; rumors persist that she was adopted by Lampini after the Usher house fell. Usher can see into shadows... and she can look into you to see if yours is tall. If her staring gaze makes you feel a little uncomfortable, Professor Griffin suggests that you yell "Isn't that Christopher Lee?" to awaken her from her trance-like state. Always remember that once Usher seats you, you should not leave your seat, not today... and not tomorrow.

He's the living shadow of a forgotten man. Tonight I present Dan Dan, assistant to Professor Anton Griffin on Professor Griffin's Midnight Shadow Show. It seems that the old house currently occupied by Prof. Griffin had unknowingly been built upon the ruins of an abandoned insane asylum. The Professor discovered Dan Dan living amongst the shadows, feeding off the shadows... little more than a shadow himself; the perfect assistant for the Professor of Shadows. Hideously deformed and endowed with superhuman strength, Dan Dan is not your average madman. At times his rants are uncontrollable and seemingly incoherent, other times he's overcome by lucid honesty; his verbal offerings do always make sense... but only if you're mad enough to understand. The one true joy of his unhinged mind is in bringing a smile to the face of the woman known only as Usher.. and she never smiles.
