SCREAM STREAM LIVE! |
| Since 2022, "Scream Stream Live!" is a weekly public domain horror movie watch-a-long podcast hosted by filmmaker and classic horror fan Garrett Spake aka "Spakenstein" and fellow filmmaker Evan Sink. The series is a spontaneous, fresh mix of horror, humor and history.
GARRETT SPAKE From Garrett Spake web page: Hi, I'm Garrett. I make horror films. Usually contained, sometimes silly, always personal.
I've been telling stories for as long as I can remember. My earliest work involved tape recorders, camcorders, and Windows Movie Maker; piecing together whatever I could with whatever I had. Horror grabbed me early, thanks to Boris Karloff and a stack of old DVDs packed with special features. I didn't just love the monsters; I loved how the movies were made, who made them, and why they've stuck around for generations.
Since then, I've done a little bit of everything: I've directed shorts, produced livestreams, analyzed scripts, and written film reviews. I've been a Division I athlete, an ocean rescue lifeguard, a swim coach, and a graduate of one of the top film schools in the country. Through it all, I've stayed obsessed with storytelling; especially the kind that aims to thrill, provoke, and connect with an audience.
Right now, I'm writing, directing, and developing horror projects that blend classic influences with modern sensibilities. I run a weekly public domain horror livestream (Scream Stream), and I love collaborating with other filmmakers who aren't afraid to get weird, wild, or personal. If that sounds like you, or if you're just curious, feel free to reach out.
In addition, Spake also produces the non-hosted horror movie series "Saturday Night Shockers".
