SHOCK |
"Shock" was ahosted horror movie show with firstly David Allen, and later ![]() "Alexander" and "Troggy" presenting on Friday nights at 11:15 pm on WKBN-TV Channel 27 Youngstown, Ohio from around 1957 and possibly the early 1960's.
The original host was a floating head (David Allen) surrounded by a sea of mist. David Allen was replaced by "Alexander" and "Troggy", a mad scientist and a troglodyte. It is not known who played the parts of "Alexander" or "Troggy".

According to Elena Watson's book Television Horror Movie Hosts, the original host of Shock at WKBN was David Allen, a floating head surrounded by a sea of mist.
In 2022, Alexander and Troggy were nominated in the "The Official Horror Host Hall of Fame".
In 2026, "Alexander & Troggy" for "Shock", were inducted into "The Official Horror Host Hall of Fame".
"Famous Monsters of Filmland" advertised "werewolf" masks that appear to be based on Troggy. |
