"Amazing Stories" was a non-hosted anthology television series created by Steven Spielberg, that originally ran on NBC in the USA from 29 September 1985 until 10 April 1987.
The genres varied from story to story, including fantasy, horror, mystery, science fiction and thriller; and could be comedy or dramatic; but always "Amazing".

The series borrowed the title from the 1926 magazine "Amazing Stories"; that is an American science fiction magazine launched in April 1926 by Hugo Gernsback's Experimenter Publishing. It was the first magazine devoted solely to science fiction. Science fiction stories had made regular appearances in other magazines, including some published by Gernsback, but Amazing helped define and launch a new genre of pulp fiction.

In 1986, a television movie "Amazing Stories" was screened that featured a compilation of stories from the series.
In 2020, a reimagining series of "Amazing Stories" was aired on Apple TV+, with 5 new stories that will transport the audience to worlds of wonder through the lens of today's most imaginative filmmakers, directors, and writers.
