NINE LIVES THEATRE

"Nine Lives Theatre" was a non hosted horror and science fiction movie show screening at 7:30pm Saturdays, on KPTV-TV Channel 12 in Portland, Oregon, USA from 7 March 1964 until 1 August 1964. The show would later change its name to "Terror On 12" (8 August 1964 - 21 November 1964). This show would then morph into the hosted horror show "Terror On 12" with John (Jack) Hillsbury as horror host "Q. Scorpio Ghoul". The first movie screened was "The Thing From Another World". Of interest, Portland's first choreographed commercial was on "Nine Lives Theatre"; with Dottie Fields dressed in a black cat costume, moving around the cars for sale to the tune of "Alley Cat".
