STRANGE TALES OF SCIENCE FICTION

WAYNE THOMAS - "ANNOUNCER"

"Strange Tales of Science Fiction" was a non hosted horror movie show from KHJ Channel 9, Los Angeles, California on and off between 1961 to 1977, with voice over from Wayne Thomas. The opening of the show started with a disembodied voice that said with a lot of echo, "Hello Dere!", with an eerie musical theme.

Wayne Thomas was born on 31 August 1931 in Oakland, California, USA. He was an actor and producer, known for "Arach and his Friend Nid" (1973), "Fright Night" (1970) and "Strange Tales of Science Fiction" (1961). He passed away on 27 January 2009 in Alhambra, California, USA.

Thomas was the long time studio announcer for Los Angeles television station KHJ-TV channel 9. Amoung the other programs, "Fright Night", Thomas would hyperbolically introduce "the Master of the Macabre, the Epitome of Evil, The Most Sinister Man to Crawl the face of the earth, Seymour" or "Seeeeeeeeeeeee-moorrrre!".
