CREATURE FEATURES

"Creature Features" was a non-hosted horror movie show that ran on WCIX-TV, Channel 6 in Miami, Florida, USA from about 1976 until about 1987. The show had a voiceover actor to provide the bumpers and rejoins. This version began with a disturbing animated six fingered hand growing out of the ground, reaching toward the sky while "The Entrance into Sogo" from Barbarella played in the background. The series played the classic Universal monster movies of the 1930s, 1940s, and early 1950s in addition to RKO and American international's post atomic bomb films. Later Japanese Toho, British Hammer, and Amicus films were added to the roster. "Creature Features" had two hosted predecessors: "Creature Features", 1972-1973 hosted by Arnie Warren & Amos "Creature Features", 1974-1975 hosted by Bwana Johnny. Below is a promo for the series.
